OKX and Immutable are joining forces in a new partnership. This collaboration will bring a GameFi NFT launchpad to life and incorporate Immutable’s zkEVM chain into both the OKX Marketplace and Wallet. Such advancements are anticipated to transform user interaction with NFTs and digital assets within gaming.
The partnership will include a specialized GameFi launchpad within OKX’s NFT Marketplace, developed in collaboration with Immutable. Further, Immutable’s zkEVM will be integrated into OKX’s services, and their Web3 Wallet will become part of Immutable’s Passport identity solution. OKX’s NFT Marketplace will also join Immutable’s Orderbook and Marketplace Network.
OKX and Immutable Industry Growth
Discussing the partnership, Robbie Ferguson of Immutable stated, “Collaborating with OKX aligns with our mission to bring digital proprietorship to every gamer in the world. OKX’s robust ecosystem and cutting-edge technology combined with Immutable’s Web3 gaming expertise allows us to open new gaming experiences for millions of players worldwide.”
OKX plans to roll out its GameFi launchpad soon, aiming to support new gaming releases on Immutable’s zkEVM. These releases include games such as Guild of Guardians, Shardbound, and Metalcore. The collaboration will enable games on Immutable to engage with a broader audience through OKX, which also provides Cryptopedia, an extensive educational resource.
Jason Lau of OKX shared, “Web3 gaming is on the verge of becoming mainstream, and at OKX, we are committed to making our wallet and marketplace the best way to access these next-generation games and their items. With over 270 titles in development on Immutable’s zkEVM, OKX wallet users will enjoy a smooth onboarding process, gameplay, and management of their in-game assets. We can’t wait to discover the new game experiences that our partnership will bring.”
Immutable has reported a substantial increase in signed games in the first quarter of ’24 over the previous year. Over 75 games have been signed recently, expanding Immutable’s offerings to over 270 games. These developments, alongside the new partnership, indicate growth in the Web3 gaming industry.
