Delta Force: Hawk Ops reaches wishlist milestone ahead of launch

Team Jade announced today that its upcoming first-person tactical shooter Delta Force: Hawk Ops has been wishlisted over 1 million times on Steam. The game currently has no set release date, however several people are playing it during its limited-time PC alpha test. According to Team Jade, the game is also set to make a showing at the upcoming Gamescom event.

The game features both single-player and multiplayer modes and two different timeframes: 1993, which is a recreation of the Black Hawk Down campaign; and 2035, which follows a futuristic team of former Delta operators on covert mission.

The upcoming test for the game features both multiplayer modes: Havoc Warfare, a 32v32 battle across a large map (two different maps will be available during the alpha), and Hazard Operations, a PvPvE mode in which three-player squads take on AI-controlled enemies and the other squads.

Shadow Guo, the game’s director, said in a statement on its Steam page: “Delta Force was the first shooter I ever played, igniting my passion for the genre. I’m extremely grateful for the opportunity to create Delta Force: Hawk Ops, and my goal is to share that unforgettable joy with even more players… We’re pushing Unreal Engine to its limits to deliver a truly cross-platform experience that allows players worldwide to immerse themselves in a vivid world of deep characters, explosive destruction, and top-notch action…all worthy of the “Delta Force” name.”
